"Susan's
interactive style connects the audience to their own personal behavior
which leads to change and performance transformation. You cannot
motivate anyone to change; you can only help them to seek it for
themselves. Susan has her customers' best interest at heart. She
demonstrates this wonderful trait by listening and questioning very
carefully."

Emotional
Intelligence Coaching |

What
is EQ?
Your
Emotional Intelligence (also referred to as Emotional Quotient)
is your ability to deal effectively with other people based
on an understanding of their feelings, as well as your own
emotions. People with well-developed EI are effective
communicators with strong, healthy relationships.
They are able to "read" people and situations accurately
and respond appropriately. They feel comfortable in
a variety of circumstances and have learned how to manage
conflict, anger, fear and stress, making them good problem
solvers.
Unlike
IQ which is genetically determined and cannot be changed,
a number of studies suggest that EQ can be increased through
a combination of awareness and training. Furthermore,
research also supports that EQ is a much better predictor
of success, especially when your work involves interpersonal
relationships. In other words, "book smarts" will
only get you so far. Without being "people smart"
too, you'll never achieve maximum success.
How
Can Raising my EQ Make Me a Better Communicator?
The
strongest relationships, whether personal or professional,
require a sense of emotional connection with others.
Without that connection, one can feel out of synch and unable
to relate. The best communicators have developed
awareness and confidence regarding their own emotions and
have empathy for how others might be feeling. This
allows them to navigate relationships easily, win trust,
and rebound quickly from negative interactions.
Successful
public speaking also requires a high degree of EQ in order
to relate to a larger audience. For a presentation
to have impact, it must touch the audience on an emotional
level that moves them to buy you and your message.
Raising EQ helps presenters avoid costly mistakes by learning
how to read audiences more accurately, and if a mistake
is made, how to recover.

More
About the BarOn Emotional Quotient Inventory
The
BarOn EQ-I was developed by Reuven Bar-on, Ph.D., a leader
in the field of emotional intelligence. It is designed
to measure EQ in individuals over the age of 16 and pertains
to the emotional, personal, social, and survival dimensions
of intelligence. It also reflects one's current coping
skills, ability to deal with daily environmental demands,
and degree of common sense. It consists of 133 items
that may be completed in less than 30 minutes. It
produces positive and negative impression scores and a response
consistency score to indicate the validity of results.
How
Do I Take the Inventory?
The
inventory can be taken on-line through a link set up by
Susan Fee, or using paper and pencil. The assessment
can be set up for one person, or an entire work team.
All results are sent directly to Susan Fee for scoring,
interpretation, and preparation of customized coaching.
