Choosing

feel confident and secure in your counselor's professionalism
and competence. I appreciate your consideration of

Educational
Experience
My
educational experience includes a Bachelor of Arts Degree
in Communications and a Master of Arts Degree in Education.
I am also licensed by the State of Ohio as a Professional Clinical Counselor and a member of
the American Counseling Association.
In
conjunction with Ohio state licensing requirements, I receive
30 CEU hours of clinical education every two years, including
a mandatory ethics review course.
What
to Expect
The
first session will be an assessment of your need for counseling.
We will look at the presenting problem and explore
together the best way to move through the thoughts and feelings
you are experiencing. We will jointly determine the
direction and time frame for your counseling, as well as
goals and focus areas.
Each
case is considered on an individual basis. We may
decide that a few sessions are all that is needed, or we
may continue to meet weekly for several weeks or months.
Appointments
I
have found that meeting weekly is the best approach to counseling.
Meeting weekly gives us an opportunity to assess your
concerns and progress on a regular basis. As we continue
through the counseling process, appointments may be scheduled
less frequently. Counseling will be most effective
if we are both committed to your emotional, physical and spiritual
health.
